Lamivudine or 3TC is an antiviral medication used to treat chronic Hepatitis B (HBV) and HIV-1/HIV-2 infections, usually in combination with other antiretrovirals. It works as a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) to stop viral DNA replication.
